| Information about the area |
The area was between 1800 - 1900 the centre for the wine production in Málaga. At that time the wine from Málaga was famous all over the world. Around the year 1900 the grapes where atacked by paraites. The local producers never managed to recover from that stroke, and still today some very big old ruins remind the visitor of times of wealth in the past. The pine forest was planted about 60 years ago, in order to prevent the city of Málaga from inundations. It´s quite common to here wild boar, but they are very shy and seldom seen. |
